All-rounder Hardik Pandya's withdrawal from the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup 2023 has dealt a serious blow to the Indian team.

The ICC claims that Hardik Pandya was unable to fully recover from the ankle injury he sustained during the game against Bangladesh. According to the ICC, Hardik Pandya has been replaced in the squad by Prasad Krishna.

Following his clearance from the ICC Event Technical Committee, Prasadh Krishna is expected to play against South Africa on Sunday.

It is important to mention that the Indian squad has advanced to the World Cup semifinals. It is the only side participating in the 2023 World Cup that has not yet suffered a loss.
