Foreign media reported that officials said that relief works had begun in the areas impacted by the earthquake, that numerous buildings and infrastructures had sustained significant damage, and that those who were trapped in the rubble were being evacuated.
The news agency stated that the US Seismological Center recorded an earthquake of magnitude of 5.6, while the German Research Center for Geosciences reported a magnitude of 5.7. The Nepal Seismological Center had initially reported an earthquake of magnitude of 6.4.
