China: Vows relentless efforts for two-state solution of Palestine issue:

China declared on Monday that it would stop at nothing to bring peace to Palestine and that it would collaborate with the international community to mediate disputes and steer the Palestinian issue back toward a two-state solution.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin responded to a question regarding the Gaza situation at his daily briefing by saying, "China will do its utmost to restore peace in Palestine as it takes over the presidency of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) this month." "The terrible humanitarian situation in Gaza tests humanity's conscience and tramples on the fundamental norms governing international relations," he declared. China will exert pressure on the UNSC to carry out its duties and foster unity.

We implore the relevant parties to maintain the highest level of composure and restraint, to cease hostilities right away, to take all reasonable steps to safeguard the security of civilians and hospitals, as well as other civilian facilities covered by the Geneva Convention's special protections, to open humanitarian aid corridors, and to stop the humanitarian crisis from getting worse," he continued. According to Wang Wenbin, the UN General Assembly convened an emergency special session a week ago and passed a resolution by a resounding vote.

Over the weekend, Israeli forces reportedly struck a convoy of ambulances near Al-Shifa Hospital, as well as the UN-run Al-Fakhoura school, the Al-Maghazi and Al-Shati refugee camps, and other civilian institutions in the Gaza Strip. There were many victims from the attacks, including kids. It is obvious that attacking hospitals, schools, and refugee camps violates the Geneva Convention on the protection of civilians during times of conflict.
